2005

2005 brought new adventures and opportunities for Bill and Jane as they and the rest of their family headed to Washington D. C. for the inauguration of President George W. Bush. The weather was cold, but the Burch’s managed to have a great time. They attended the Black Tie and Boots ball, The Texas Governor’s reception (where they watched Governor Perry play drums with ZZ Top), The Texas-Wyoming Ball, and the Inauguration. They were also fortunate to have the time to visit many of the wonderful sights within our Nations Capitol.

Having worked as an executive for many years in the hospitality industry in the past, Bill helped the Site Selection Committee of the SREC, of which Jane was a member, in their location search for the 2012, 2014, and 2016 State Conventions. This resulted in the 2012 and 2014 State Conventions being booked for Fort Worth.

Bill continued his activities by working with Party leaders throughout the state. Bill held Precinct meetings that proved to be greatly received and Jane continued her efforts throughout Senate District 9.
