"Bill Burch is a hard-working businessman, family man, and lifelong Republican with sound conservative values and the experience necessary to represent us in Austin, and dedication required to work for us in Arlington, Mansfield, and Grand Prairie in the 93rd Legislative District!"

Bill’s family has a long history of political involvement. His father’s side of the family was among the first settlers of what is now Rockwall County. Several members served in various elected office through the years and as preachers. On Bill’s mother’s side of the family, you have a political heritage with the Republican Party dating back to the beginning of the Party in Indiana.

Bill was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 5, 1951. He served his country during the Vietnam era in the United States Army Security Agency.

When he left the Army, he moved to Houston where he met the love of his life, Juanita “Jane” Solis. At the time, Bill worked as an insurance agent. Soon, Bill and Jane would go into the pet business, first into retail and later expanding into wholesale.

In 1980, Bill found he was a natural in the resort business. He quickly rose through the ranks from sales to Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer at on-site and off-site locations in Las Vegas, Nevada; Vail, Colorado; Ocean Springs, Mississippi; and Dallas, Texas. Bill was the subject of many news articles at the time and was frequently sought after.

By 1987, Bill used his knowledge of the Hospitality Industry and began a commercial carpet cleaning company with his step-father, W. J. Turney. It wasn’t long before they had expanded into commercial renovation, furniture manufacturing, flooring, and chemical manufacturing. Bill was named to “The Who’s Who of Leading American Businessmen”, as well as other Who’s Who honors. They were doing business with Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Bell Helicopter, the City of Dallas, Steak and Ale Restaurants, and many, many other companies across America. Bill also joined The American Mensa Society at this time.

As Bill’s step-fathers health began to decline, Bill bought him out. Bill saw an opportunity in the cell phone industry and converted his company to a cellular dealership. Once again Bill began garnering major accounts, landing the largest single contract in the history of the industry.

With the advice of his friend, in 2000, Bill began acquiring real estate. Bill and Jane now have time to give back to their community through their political contirbutions of time and money.
